“Marketing with Integrity” at Mascola Group

Pride doesn’t even begin to describe how I felt being able to amplify everything that’s great about this gem of a Connecticut agency. For almost 40 years, Mascola Group has been a New Haven staple, and a gift to clients—an agency that lives and breathes honesty, accountability, transparency, and respect in its client relationships. I had the honor of bringing its ethos to light in a rebrand and entire site redesign for the company.

The Insight & Execution:

I was having coffee with my boss and he said, “I’ve got this idea about ‘marketing with integrity.’” And I said, “I can work with that,” because amazing ideas can come from everywhere (note: it makes you feel really good when they come from the top).

Then I was off to the races. Interviewing team members, taking part in keyword research, and analyzing our competitors, I rewrote every single word of our agency site, then worked with our crazy great designers on a look and feel that spoke to our legacy and local New Haven, CT, flavor while tapping into current graphic trends.

When that was done we said, “Wait a second. We can do more.” From there, our new look and language became a whole new brand identity for the business. It also extended to a fully fleshed out content and paid media strategy the team continues to execute on to attract new business.

The Result:

The day before the site went live, the whole team sat around a table and looked at the site on the biggest screen we could find. We did a final read-through, and at the end my boss said, “Our brand has never looked like this…and I couldn’t be happier. I feel young again.”

That was the result: a reinvigorated brand ready to win even more new business and take on the world.
